Our logo for the City of Prague uses four language versions of the word “Praha” in a red box. The four versions represent all major languages that use Latin characters. The logo is meant to symbolise openness and friendliness of the city and its people. It is a symbolic hand extended to all visitors coming to Prague and a reminder of the city’s history as a centre of different cultures and nationalities. The unified visual style manual was created for purpose of the City of Prague’s current communication and keeps the town’s heraldry for certain purposes.
