The visual identity of the state administration of the Czech Republic
The visual identity of the state administration is being unified – instead of the current disparate system, a unified solution is coming.
The symbol consists of a red rectangular shield with a white two-tailed lion in a leap at the top and a blue stripe on the side, which refers to the Czech tricolour or to the communication of public administration bodies.
The second level in the hierarchy of logos is solved by a simplified form of the symbol without the blue stripe and, on the contrary, by adding the blue colour to the name of the institution.
The modernised lion is based on the small state emblem. Some elements, such as the crown, claws and tongue, have been enlarged to remain clearly visible even when reduced in size, while care has been taken to preserve the richness of the drawing in the larger sizes, thanks to the characteristic breaks in the drawing of the crown, right limbs and tail.
The visual style is accompanied by the original Czechia Sans™ font based on a rectangular base with monolinear drawing. The ends of the upper and lower touches are finished with a characteristic wedge, referring to the symbolism of the national flag.
We are pleased to be part of a long-awaited project that could now contribute to more effective communication of the Czech state.
