The Year of the Devil

The Czech Lion winning poster is in fact the beginning of mutual liking between director Petr Zelenka and us. The poster was originally created for a sort of a mini tender where we were invited by producer Pavel Strnad after the film shooting was over. All we had were few stills and we doubted that we would match the standards of a highly demanding director. On the other hand, a detail of Jaz Coleman’s eyes sure does catch one’s attention.
