20-foot-long Tománek in Pastacaffé
A new, 20-foot-long, printed-on-aluminum photo by Dušan Tománek dominates the new restaurant interior of Pastacaffé in Vězeňská Street in Prague by the architect Tereza Froňková. Both the ambitious dimensions and the subject matter build on Pastacaffé postcards with items suggesting unexpected encounters, over-the-top as some visits of Pastacaffé are. Besides luxury brands’ "nécessaire", the things guests can leave in the cafe on the table are also portrayed by a guitar we got from the photographer Václav Jirásek when opening a new studio space or the Grand Prix Aleš Najbrt won at the Brno Biennial in 1996. Shoes: Gianvito Rossi, perfume: Brecourt Ambre Noir, gloves: Local Icons – Napa, ring: Henri Bendel, Grand Prix XVII. Brno Biennial, watch: Rolex, creamer, perfume: Straight to Heaven by Kilian, glasses: Cutler and Gross, pen: Balmain, camera: Yashica T4 Super, guitar: DIY. Styling by Michal Nanoru and Lucie Trnková.
