Subliminal KVIFF

Jiří Bartoška and Jakub Spurný unveiled the official poster of the 54th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Jakub Spurný’s visual continues in simple typography and play with numbers and visibility. One sees a link to TVL, or screen resolution, in it, another sees the costumes from the Czech 1968 classic The Incredibly Sad Princess. The next sees zebra. Or are these the Emperor’s New Clothes again? In any case, as with the movie screen, it is good to step back a bit when looking at the poster.
