Josef Šíma: The Road to Le Grand Jeu

The architecture of the exhibition at the Waldstein Riding School follows the shape of a spiral, an important symbol for the French art group Le Grand Jeu, which is at the center of Prague's introduction to the Paris-based painter’s lifelong work. Similarly, the colors of the printed exhibition guide pages gradually darken to the reader's encounter with the Great Game. As the group declared, "the point is to lose yourself."
